Orange County REALTORS® recognizes the importance of protecting our members’ personal information. For that reason, we have implemented the following privacy policy:

  1. We gather the following types of information to process your transactions, fulfill your requests, maintain our membership records, provide other services to Members, and to analyze traffic to our website and the needs/makeup of our Members :
    • Contact information you provide (which includes but is not limited to the information you provide on the Membership Application such as your personal and business addresses, phone and fax numbers, email addresses, firm affiliations, and titles);
    • Information you volunteer, via applications, correspondence, orders, purchases, voice mail messages or surveys (for example, education, designations, specialties, affiliations with other real estate organizations, and general demographic data);
    • Information provided to and/or accessible to us based on your use and viewing of our website and related portals, including IP addresses, search history, software/hardware used, etc.;
    • Other information regarding Members and/or visitors of our website that is provided to us by third-parties or other sources.
  2. We use this information to:
    • Improve and customize other communications tools, including but not limited to the What’s Up, Education Central, and our Monthly Magazine, The Orange County REALTOR®;
    • Notify you of updates to our site;
    • Notify you of important legislation, court decisions, and other events or information affecting the real estate industry;
    • Notify you of relevant products and services;
    • Notify you of upcoming events and programs;
    • Manage, use, and/or provide to our members various services, information, tools, systems, and programs;
    • Complete, facilitate, and manage purchases, memberships, and other transactions or relationships;
    • Track and facilitate usage of our sites;
    • Assist local and state REALTOR® associations and affiliated Institutes, Societies and Councils in membership tracking and for their use for purposes similar to those listed above;
    • Provide directory information to the public.
  3.  Members recognize and acknowledge that, as a non-for-profit entity, Orange County REALTORS® is not a “business” as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”). By participating in any aspect of Orange County REALTORS®, Members agree and acknowledge that they do not hold rights under these laws vis-à-vis Orange County REALTORS®, including  with respect to the maintenance and deletion of personal data and information contained in or used by Orange County REALTORS®.  
  4. Orange County REALTORS® does not sell or trade the information described in Part 1 of this policy.
  5. Orange County REALTORS® may, at its discretion, share the information described in Part 1 of this policy with third-parties in connection with or in order to facilitate those uses described in Part 2 of this policy, or when required by law or valid legal process, to protect personal safety, or for compliance with California Corporations Code, Section 8331, 8332, 8333 and 8334. We may also provide directory and/or contact information regarding our Members to other Members and to the public.
  6. Credit information that you and credit authorizers provide when you make payments by credit card for products, dues or other services via Internet Member Services will only be used to process the transactions you request. This information will be provided to and maintained by reputable credit reporting databases, but will never be sold, shared or provided to other third parties except as necessary to process or facilitate an authorized transaction.
  7. We maintain reasonable security procedures and standards. We test these procedures and modify them regularly as new technologies become feasible. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us via the internet. Any transmission of information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained in any of our products, systems, websites, or services.
  8. We use cookies to collect data regarding visits to and use of our website and other systems/portals. By refusing to accept cookies, you may be able to limit our access to certain information we might otherwise obtain based upon your use of our website and other systems/portals. Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a feature in some web browsers by which users can request that online services, including website providers and online advertisers, do not track the user’s web browsing activities. Our Website does not currently respond to DNT requests transmitted by web browsers.
  9. By using our website, using or purchasing services through Orange County REALTORS®, and/or by becoming a Member of Orange County REALTORS®, you agree to the terms of this policy.
  10. This policy may be updated and/or modified periodically by Orange County REALTORS®. You should regularly check for updates and by using this website or our services you agree to be bound by any such updates without express notice.
  11. You may opt-out of receiving communications from us. If you are a member of Orange County REALTORS®, you can choose to opt out of inclusion in the directory.  You may edit your personal contact information at any time directly by logging into My Account or by contacting webmaster@ocrealtors.org.
  12.  If you are not a member of Orange County REALTORS®, you can choose to opt-out of receiving communications from us by contacting webmaster@ocrealtors.org.
