Easter Basket Drive

Location: Drop off baskets at Any Marketing Meeting, Annual Membership Meeting or Either OCR office. You can also bring basket item(s) to either OCR office before March 13 and they will be added to a basket.
Description: Our goal is to give an Easter basket to every Olive Crest child. You can drop off a pre-filled Easter basket for:

  • Children ages 0-12

Basket ideas:
  • Themed baskets for kids, such as Star Wars, Avengers, or Frozen.
  • Limit chocolate items due to melting.
  • Easter greeting cards with a personalized message for the children and youth.

2018 St. Patrick’s Day – Spring Gala

Location: Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort, 21100 Pacific Coast Hwy, HB
Description: Volunteers needed for

  • 12PM-3:30PM Set up: Volunteers will be in charge of helping put programs on each seat of ballroom, putting up signs, and setting up the opportunity drawing. Additional help might include unloading centerpieces and placing on tables. (4 volunteers needed)
  • 4:30PM-7:15PM Registration: Volunteers will be in charge of welcoming guest, finding guest name in 501, collect: name, email, credit card #, CVC #, billing zip code and phone number, assign paddle number, record paddle number in computer, give them their name tag. Direct guest upstairs to take their photo and purchase opportunity tickets, golden ticket drawing. ( 2 volunteers needed)
  • 4:45PM-7:15PM Greeters: Volunteers will be in charge of greeting guest, answering any questions they have about the night and directing them to bathrooms, auction tables, photo booth, whiskey tasking and more. (5 Volunteers needed)
  • 5:00-7:30pm Opportunity Tickets/ Golden Tickets Sales: Teams will walk around outside patio and reception hall selling opportunity tickets to participate in our “silent auction/opportunity drawing” and our Golden Ticket opportunity with odds of winning 1 out of 100 , the winner receives choice of one of our select Live Auction Items. Pot of Gold Package is also available, giving guest the opportunity to buy both Golden Ticket and Opportunity Drawing tickets. These transactions will take place on iPads, although; if guest would like to use cash, each team will have change. (4 volunteers needed)
  • 5:00-7:30 Opportunity Item Table: Volunteers will be in charge of looking over the opportunity drawing tables, rearranging items if needed, answering any questions guest might have about the opportunity drawing, once opportunity drawing closes at 7:00pm guest will take items into room and placed in order of item number for easy check-out. (2 volunteers needed)
  • 5:15-7:00pm Whiskey Sampling: There to collect individual’s $20.00 donation sampling fee on iPads, a jar will also be available for cash donations. You will also be in charge of soliciting tickets for the opportunity drawing and golden tickets.
  • 8:00-8:25pm Live Auction Spotter/Recorder: Volunteers are placed around the room and spot individuals raising paddles, once auctioneer calls winning bidder number, record winning bidders bid number on given sheet (this is done for each Live Auction Item). (2 volunteers needed)
  • 8:40-9:00PM Bid from the heart Spotter/Recorder: Volunteers are placed around the room and spot individuals raising their paddles, once auctioneer calls number, record bid number on given sheet. Reconcile outside of ballroom and make sure all numbers match. (2 volunteers needed)
  • 9:30-10:30PM Opportunity Drawing and Live Auction Runner: Runners are responsible for determining if item(s) is a physical item or certificate or both and that the auction item number matches what the bidder won. Runs item out to check-out staff to give to individual. (2 volunteers needed)

OC STEAM Fest benefiting the Irvine Public Schools Foundation

Location: Orange County Great Park, Irvine, near the hot air balloon and carousel
Description: Volunteers are needed with assistance with registration, distributing giveaway bags, make/distribute balloons, and clean-up.
