The National Association of Realtors® has announced that Tammy Newland-Shishido, Operating Principal & Broker of Keller Williams Shoreline, has become a member of 2018 NAR Hall of Fame Class in the Realtors® Political Action Committee. RPAC is a national bipartisan grassroots-based political advocacy organization that works to protect the real estate industry and the dream of homeownership for Long Beach, Orange County residents and across the country.
Tammy Newland-Shishido has supported RPAC for more than 10 years and has been a member of the National Association of Realtors® since 1989. She is also a NAR Chair & Director and California Association of Realtors® Trustee & Director. In addition to serving the real estate industry, she has been a civic volunteer for more than 25 years. Currently Tammy serves on the boards of CCEJ, Long Beach Cancer League and Orange County Realtors®. She is a sustaining member of Jr. League of Long Beach, Steel Magnolias, Women’s Council of Realtors®, alumni with Leadership Long Beach and served as 2018 President of Orange County Realtors®.
“I support RPAC because doing so is important to my profession,” said Newland-Shishido. Since 1969, RPAC has promoted the election of pro-real estate candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is to elect and support officials who advance the interests of real estate professionals and their home buying, selling and investing clients. In addition, RPAC uses it resources to develop public policies that make it easier for consumers to own homes and build their communities through commercial investment. Tammy’s investment will be applied to supporting homeownership, commercial real estate transactions, and the very future of the real estate industry. She will be inducted in at the NAR Mid- year meeting and will receive a brick in her name on the NAR building.
