Orange County REALTORS® Board of Directors Election Begins on Tuesday, May 8

The Orange County REALTORS® will hold an election beginning on Tuesday, May 8, and ending on Tuesday, May 22, for the purpose of choosing REALTOR® member candidates to fill five (5) three-year positions on the 2019–2021 OC REALTORS® Board of Directors. All REALTOR® members of the Association are eligible to vote.

Voting Information and Instructions

Beginning on Tuesday, May 8, at 8:00 A.M., OC REALTORS® REALTOR® Members may vote online. Those who choose to submit a ballot may vote for up to five candidates and may not vote more than once for the same person. Voting concludes on Tuesday, May 22, at 5:00 P.M.

You no longer need to access an email to vote. Just go to the voting link, which will be published here when the election opens, and enter your OCAR.org User ID (same as MLS ID) and OCAR.org Password (usually different than your MLS password).

If you’ve forgotten your password, you may request it at https://ims.ocar.org. Simply click the “Forgot Your Password” link.

Members can either vote online from the convenience of their home or office, or they can vote at OC REALTORS®’ offices. We’ll assist them with logging in at one of our member computers. This year, the election will be held exclusively online—no more paper ballots.

However, if you need assistance with the process, you may call the Orange County REALTORS® at either 949-586-6800 or 714-375-9313, email OC REALTORS® at election@ocar.org, or come to either OC REALTORS® office, where a Management Team member will help you log in at one of our member computers.

Voting begins May 8 at 8:00 AM

Candidates

Nine candidates are running to fill five three-year positions.

The nine candidates are listed below in ballot order. This order conforms to the randomized drawing of letters of the alphabet conducted by the California Secretary of State on March 15, 2018, for the June 5, 2018, Statewide Direct Primary Election ballots. Pursuant to California Elections Code Section 13112, this drawing is held on the eighty-second day before an election.

Orange County REALTORS® is the largest Association in California and the ninth largest in the United States. We must be doing something right, and our size positions us to make a difference. I am seeking a seat on the Board of Directors so that I can help shape that difference. I want to increase professional standards in our industry, support homeownership rights, and promote diversity and minority visibility. Please cast your vote for Lisa Yi.

Until I joined Orange County REALTORS®, I did not realize how much more this Association provides for its members in support, education, and ancillary services/benefits. I want to utilize my voice and perspective as a minority millennial regarding matters that may be affecting our industry, either locally or at large. Having extensive international real estate experience, I wish to continue to advise on related issues even after my term as 2018 Global Committee Chair concludes.

I have always appreciated the services and benefits Orange County REALTORS® provides to its REALTOR® members and have been fortunate to witness our Association grow. I believe that the strength of our Association is measured by the strength of its individual members and their contributions. Over the years, I have acquired skills and experience that I would like to share with everyone, and I view serving on the Board of Directors as an excellent way to do so.
