Where Your Key Will Work |

Supra keys are leased directly from GE/Supra. Keyboxes can be purchased in either OCAR office.
Please note that Supra keys are LEASED and must be returned to OCAR if you are no longer using them or are not an active agent. Please refer to your key lease if you have any questions about billing obligations.
Please refer to the Initial Fees section of OCAR's website for more information on prices and accepted forms of payment. Once you have
received your key, you will be billed annually by GE/Supra.
If you experience problems with your key or keyboxes, it is recommended that you first refer to your user guide (which you may download below).
However, you may contact our offices directly or the Supra Support Hotline at:
877-699-6787.

I lost
my key. Now what?
If you elected to purchase insurance when you leased your key, Supra
will replace it for you free of charge. Just bring it into OCAR and
we’ll replace it. If you don’t have insurance, Supra
will charge you $249 plus tax to replace it. If you find it and return
it to OCAR within 30 days, Supra will send you a refund of your replacement
fee.
My ActiveKEY is Expired
Your ActiveKEY remains active by connecting wirelessly to a cellular network. If you are out of coverage range for more than 24 hours, your ActiveKEY displays the message, Key is expired/update now. Refer to page 18 of the ActiveKEY user guide (KIM Update Code) on how to manually update your ActiveKEY.
My ActiveKEY Battery is Dead
Because your ActiveKEY is updating itself throughout
the day, it uses the battery life more quickly than the DisplayKEY.
Make sure you charge it daily. If the display is blank, plug in
the key and charge it for a couple of hours. If it is not holding
a charge, please call Supra support to speak with a technician.
My ActiveKEY is Locked Up
Insert one end of a paperclip into the reset hole located on the back of the ActiveKEY in the bottom right cornder just below the serial number and apply gentle pressure. Do not insert anything with a sharp point as you may damage the ActiveKEY. A successful reset occurs when the key displays GE SECURITY ACTIVEKEY.
I forgot my pin code. Help!
Please call either the Laguna Hills or Huntington
Beach office to obtain the PIN code to your key.
In which areas will my key work?
Your key will automatically open any keybox within the SoCalMLS, iTECH, iMRMLS, and GSBRMLS systems. For a comprehensive listing by city, indicating where your key will work, please refer to the Reciprocal Listings section of OCAR's website.
Click on the city for which you need key access. This section will also instruct you on how your key may be programmed to open keyboxes in neighboring Associations for a fee. Agents wishing to open keyboxes in former CrisNet areas (Southland Regional Association of REALTORS®, San Fernando Valley area) will still need to have their keys programmed to work in these areas even though they are now included in the SoCalMLS.
OCAR agents: Click here to get Southland Regional's Reciprocal Key Input Form.
For ActiveKEY users: Once Southland Regional has added your key to their database, you will need to perform two ActiveKEY PC-internet syncs on your computer. Please refer to page 15 of the ActiveKEY manual on how to complete this process.
For eKEY users: Once Southland Regional has added your key to their database, you will need to perform two successive eSYNCs on your phone or PDA.
Can I send someone to pick up the key for me? Can you send me the key?
Unfortunately, no. You must be present to pick up your key (including obtaining a replacement for a defective or lost key). No exceptions will be made for anyone--including your assistant, spouse, associate, or broker.
Why did I receive two bills in the mail for my key?
First, make sure the bills are pertaining to the same key number. If not, call OCAR. Most likely, you elected insurance when you leased your key. One bill is for the lease renewal, the other for insurance renewal.
I’m
no longer using my key/I'm no longer a member, so why am I getting
a bill from GE Supra?
Even if you are not using your key or even if you are no longer an OCAR member, you will continue to be billed by GE/Supra for your key since you leased their equipment. To avoid being billed for the key and cradle, you must return it to OCAR in working condition prior to the lease renewal date of September 1st. If the equipment is returned after this date, you may still be liable to pay the renewal fee.
How can I access my billing information online?
If you are using a Supra ActiveKEY or have Supra eKEY service on your smartphone or PDA, you can now manage your key account online. Agent WebPAY is a FREE online tool that allows you to modify your account and pay invoices at any time from any computer with Internet access. You can access Agent WebPAY on the Supra website at www.supraekey.com
I’m
transferring to another Association. Can I take my key with
me?
You may transfer your key to Associations who participate on:
- SoCalMLS (with exception of Southland Regional Association of REALTORS® and Newport Beach Association of REALTORS®)
- i-TECH MLS
- iMRMLS
Prior to transferring, bring your key to either OCAR office to be deleted. This will enable you to take your key with you when joining a new board. Also, when you arrive, make sure you fill out OCAR's membership cancellation form, return your SafeMLS token, and obtain a letter of good standing (if applicable).
I'm
an agent from another Association of REALTORS®, how do
I get my key to work in your area?
If you are an agent
from an Association of REALTORS® who participates on the:
- SoCalMLS* (see below for instructions for former CrisNet
MLS agents)
- iMRMLS
- i-TECH MLS
- GSBRMLS
Your Supra Key will work fine in our area.
Former CrisNet MLS agents (now in SoCalMLS)
*SoCal MLS agents, who are former CrisNet subscribers, will still need to pay to have their key programmed for the Orange County area. Contact your Association of REALTORS® to confirm that the Supra code for our area (CD 38) is already located in your key. Then contact OCAR to obtain the correct reciprocal key fee and submit the reciprocal key input forms. Click here to obtain the Reciprocal Key Input Forms.
Once your reciprocal key paperwork has been sucessfully processed, you will need to perform two successive manual eSYNCs on your key. For further instructions on how to eSYNC you key, refer to your user manual.
DAMLS and CLAW agents
Agents from the DAMLS and CLAW will need to pay to have their key programmed for our area.
Other Agents
Agents who are members of other Associations not mentioned above, will have to become SoCalMLS subscribers and lease a key to open lockboxes in our area. For information on how to join and applicable fees, please click here.
What’s
the difference between an ActiveKEY and an eKEY?
eKey service allows you to use your smartphone or PDA as a Supra key. While ActiveKEY fees are charged yearly, eKey service requires a monthly service contract. For information about intial key fees, please click here. EKey service installation requires an appointment at either our Huntington Beach or Laguna Hills offices. For more information about eKey service, please click here.
How do I upgrade from a ActiveKEY to an eKey?
Upgrading service requires an appointment. Please contact either our Huntington Beach or Laguna Hills office to schedule an appointment. You will need to bring your DisplayKey and smartphone/PDA to your appointment.
What’s
the difference between Basic and Professional eKey Service?
For a description of Basic Service, click here.
For a description of Professional Service, click here.
For compatible devices and a side-by-side comparison, please click here.
How do I downgrade from my eKey to back to a ActiveKEY?
Please bring in your smartphone/PDA to downgrade your service. We will delete the Supra software off of your device. Please contact our office for the cost to downgrade, as you will be responsible for paying the remainder of the yearly lease contract for the ActiveKEY.
I had to replace my phone. How can I reestablish eKey service?
If
you "backed-up" the eKey software on your computer, simply
reinstall the software onto your new device. You will need a new
authorization code, which may be obtained by logging into KimWeb (click here to be directed there), or by calling our office. If you cannot reinstall the software, please contact our office for further directions.
I'm transferring to another Association, can I take my eKey with me?
eKeys cannot be transferred between Associations. You will need to return to our office to cancel your service. Please contact our office for futher details.
How
can I see who’s been in my listing?
1) The Showing Value
feature on the KIM website www.supraekey.com . Click on “Log
into KIMweb” and login using your DisplayKEY serial number
and pin code (not the keybox serial number or shackle code!). Follow
the prompts to add your Keybox and assign it to your listing (this
should be done prior to placing the keybox on the property). Once
this is done, you can create reports to view activity and set-up
email notifications when showings occur.
2) Request a report from KIM voice access (888-968-4032). Enter your 3-digit area code. Enter your DisplayKEY serial number and pin code and then press #. Select option number 5 from the voice menu. Press 1 for a voice report or 2 for a faxed report. Follow KIM’s instructions to receive the report.
3) Go to the listing and read the keybox with your ActiveKEY. Press enter to turn on your key. Scroll to the READ KEYBOX option and press enter. Press 2 to select NEW READ. Enter the keybox shackle code and press Enter. Point your key at the keybox. The key will display up to 100 of the last showings. Use the arrow buttons on your keypad to scroll through the showing records.
How can I be notified by email who's accessed by keybox and shown my listing?
Go
to the www.supraekey.com. Log on to KIMWeb. Choose your Association.
Input your key number and pin code. Key numbers are found on the
reverse of the ActiveKEY or on the back of the User’s Manual for eKeys. Under "Activity Reports," select "ShowingValue." Select “Change Email Settings.” After you’ve specified your email notifications, select “Save
Now.”
I need to use my keybox in an area outside of SoCalMLS. What do I do?
Your keybox will work in the i-TECH, MRMLS, and Greater South Bay MLS without any additional programming. You may be able to deprogram your keybox at OCAR and take it to other neighboring Association MLS systems to be programmed for their area. Please contact our office for instruction. A comprehensive city list of where your keyboxes will work is available under the Reciprocal Listings section.
How can I get my shackle code if I've forgotten it?
Please contact either our Huntington Beach Office (714) 375-9322 or Laguna Hills Office (949) 586-6800 to obtain the shackle code. We will not provide the code to anyone other than the registered owner of the KeyBox.
How can I change the shackle code?
If you use a ActiveKEY, you will need to personally bring your keybox into our office to be reprogrammed with the shackle code of your choice. However, if you have eKey service (smart phone or PDA), you have the option of reprogramming the code. Simply release the shackle with the existing code. When your device asks you if you would like to change the keybox settings, click yes, and follow the prompts.
Help! My keybox is jammed!
If
the key container is jammed, remove the keybox and bring it into
our office. We may be able to dislodge the jam--however, there
are no guarantees that we will be successful. It’s always
a good idea to remove the chain from key container before placing
the keybox on a listing.
Help!
I can’t remove my keybox from the property, even though I’m
using the right shackle code!
First, verify that your key is updated. Then, confirm that you are using the correct shackle code for the box. If it still does not release, contact OCAR.
I bought a keybox from another agent. How do I get it transferred into my name?
Click here to obtain the keybox transfer form (this form must be signed by the agent who owns the boxes). Bring in the completed form along with the boxes and we will transfer the boxes under your public ID and program them to the shackle code of your choice.
If the keyboxes are from another Association that participates on either the SoCalMLS, MRMLS, i-TECH, or GSBRMLS, please make sure they are “deleted” by the previous Association first before bringing them to OCAR. If they are from another Association outside of these MLS systems, they must be deprogrammed prior to bringing them to OCAR’s offices.
I'm transferring
to another Association of REALTORS®. Can I take my keyboxes
with me?
If the Association uses either the Supra iBox or
Advantage Express II keyboxes, they may be taken to the new Association.
They must be brought into either OCAR office to be deleted from our
records. Additionally, if they are to be used in an Association that
does not participate on the SoCalMLS, MRMLS, i-Tech, or GSBRMLS,
they must also be deprogrammed.
